Competition Friday was intense. We still had a lot of work to do on the robot. We also had some issues with the intake and drive train. The first match we forgot that the back of our robot is is now the front. So in autonomous the robot went the wrong way. Of course that was an easy fix however since we designed the omni wheels to be on the front, they’re now on the back which gives us less manoeuvrability. Our intake lost a chain two times and broke in a crash at one point. However we managed to repair our gripper with the help of our amazing Exploding Bacon friends. In all we managed to score a view vault cubes and had a fun time at the field. At one point we had an alliance with 4481 Rembrandts and 233 The Pink Team and we even had an alliance with our friends Exploding Bacon, putting double Bacon on the field.
Another great moment was our meeting with Woodie Flowers. Of course we could not let him leave without the famous Dutch stroopwafels. The day ended with the 20th anniversary party of the Orlando FRC Regional. Tomorrow we still have three more matches to play and we’ll continue to upgrade our robot.
