The second day of the competition we continued working on our robot, as we still had a lot of issues to take care of. We had three qualification matches left and wanted to make the best of it. The last match was the best. We had our climber fixed and tried a climb in the endgame. Which we almost got. It was an awesome moment for us.
We had a blast at the competition. The competition went great for our friends 4481 team Rembrandts who were picked by the 2th alliance, team 179, The Children of the Swamp. After exciting playoffs, they won the finals. They were also awarded the Gracious Professionalism Award, for their extensive help to other teams throughout the competition. So a huge congratulations to 4481, 179 and 3653, team Botcats.
The best part was saved for last. Our friends team 1902, Exploding Bacon won the Chairman’s Award. Which is the most prestigious award to win in FRC, we are super happy for them and congratulate them on this. After the competition we hung out with all the familiar volunteers and said our goodbyes. We joined Exploding Bacon at their after party banquet and shared our moments. We also need to thank them so much for all what they have done for us last week. On Monday, the last of us will fly back. We sure will miss our friends.
